Weld Inspector

The CWI is responsible for inspecting 100% of the structural welds performed and ensuring compliance with company's procedures and customer requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Performs a variety of welding and grinding inspections on a variety of materials and parts
  • Verify and ensure that appropriate welding equipment is used for the work and that equipment has the capability to meet appropriate requirements of the work
  • Ensure compliance to customer requirements
  • Maintain records of all customer approvals, approved processes and procedures
  • Document all weld failures per the quality management system
  • Review weld mapping on various types of engineering layouts for structures
  • Provide quality control and quality assurance of products delivered to established specifications
  • Read and comprehend project specifications and drawing
  • Provide project status reports
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
