90 an hour 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago JOB SUMMARY The Injection Tool Tech works under the supervision of the Injection Tooling Engineer to ensure that all molds are maintained functionally, repaired appropriately and run efficiently.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct work, comply with and enforce all company, local, state, and federal Safety and Health Rules.
Document findings, and repair/replace components accordingly to the condition of the tool or preventative maintenance schedule adaptable to those findings Perform repairs and maintenance of tools running PA with a high level of glass content Recommend tooling improvements that will improve the function, process capability and the reliability of tools.
Monitor molding parameters to address issues that are detrimental to the life and reliability of the tool.
Communicate with process and production personnel regarding prioritization of demands.
Perform minor record keeping tasks.
This includes, but not limited to; recording cavitation levels, damage to cavitation, downtime reasons, spare detail inventory, recommended improvements for the department Ensure regular preventive maintenance of the molds; tear downs, general cleaning and greasing, wear analysis, etc.
Ability to work some flexible hours and weekends.
Capable of being a team player of the organization, displaying a cooperative and positive attitude towards our Company, its policies, procedures, and to other employee Other responsibilities, job functions as deemed necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; 3
years verifiable tool room skilled trades experience - a PLUS Verifiable production injection mold build / repair experience Hot manifold knowledge; straight drops, pneumatic VG, sequential gating, etc 5
years general tool room machining experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Able to work with minimal supervision Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to find solutions, trouble shooter Some experience with Tool Room machinery; Bridgeport, surface grinder, lathe, drill press, welding, etc Knowledge of scientific molding / RJG, desired Proficient using inspection tools (micrometers, gages, ohm meter, etc.
) Ability to read assembly and component prints Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization Good oral and written skills in order to develop proper quality documentation PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION 1.
Must be able to handle the physical demands of the Operations.
